The BMW is running rough, so rough it's sounding fooking horrific.
Anything over 4k it sounds like a bag of bolts & it vibes bad too. I
took it in this morning for them to look at.

Mechanic agreed it sounded rough & noisy. He took it in the shop &
after 10 mins he came out & said 'it's fine, keep running it until the
first service where we adjust clearances & tighten head bolts' I say,
it wasn't doing it 7 days ago, so there must be something wrong with
it. I was told to 'change gear with no clutch, give it more revs & it
    will be fine'

I am sorry, it sounds fucking horrific, vibey & just plain rough, so
much so you get looked at!

Is this fella talking out of his arse or what?

It's that bad, at motorway speed you can't use the mirrors as they are
vibrating so bad they are blurred.

He didn't take the bike out & give it any load, just revved it in the
    shop.

    Loosening up nicely then.
No, he's just dispensing BMW customer service.
    I doubt that that's normal.
Sounds like my experience with BMW motorsickle shops, which is why I
    don't go into them anymore.

You could take it someone who knows what they're doing, but they're (a)
rare and (b) normally not BMW main dealers. I can recommend someone
down here (Kent) who at least may help with the diagnosis.

Oh, btw, your dealer isn't anywhere near Chelmsford, are they?

BTW, did you register at UKGSER yet? If not, you better do that - you
may get more helpful responses over then.

    Then again, maybe not.

I did indeed, it will be posted later. It's that bad it's shaking me
bollocks dizzy. Is there some kind of balancer arrangement for the
engine? It feels out of balance.

Yep, duly done. It is NOT possible to downshift this bike with no
clutch, I have tried & tried. Up is bad enough.

I think Mr Permatan was a fucking duffer.

They have no balancer shafts if that's what you mean. At least on the
older ones you will notice if the throttle bodies are out of sync and
they can be balanced the usual way (if you know how). My experience is
that they should smooth out rather than grow more shaky unless they're
    badly out of balance.

Still, with 350, even out of balance shouldn't be that bad.

Is the right answer, but see below.
I do that. Really helps focus the mind on being smooth.

Start quoting SOGA at them -after- someone who has a good 'un has ridden
yours, and you theirs so you know what a good 'un feels like, and they can
tell you if yours is a bag of shit with lumps of metal in it.

Look up SOGA before ranting though.

I am of the view, that it is likely to be the fact it is mostly fucked.
Not my problem really, as it's fucking brand new.
Oh dear, cant wait to take a workmate out for a run tomorrow to pick up
his new bike. This is gonna sound & feel like a bag of shite. But, I
will run it to utter destruction just for the **** of it.
