It's this line that makes me think it's dodgy - I would have thought most
people would have just said "car" rather than a full cut and paste.

That, or they really have a poor grasp of the language- which is possible.

Absolutely, although it'll most likely be a (forged) cheque rather than
    a banker's draft.
This is clue #1 - they always include the title description from the
advert. I suspect they get given lists of descriptions & email
    addresses to contact.

Clue #2 - they always ask for a picture, even if there's already one
    with the advert.

Sounds cheap for an S80 T6.. does it have moon and back mileage or
    something?

That sort of mileage isn't a problem nowadays, it's the number of
landings that should be taken into account. Anything over 0 will shave
    a quid or two.

About a quarter of the way there and back.

It has 133K but you're right it's still a very competitive price. There is a
genuine reason for sale as well:)

  10. It won't, you know - it'll be a forged draft.

Well I suppose I could scan the forged cheque I've got on my desk from
the last scammer I played with, if you really, *really* want me to?

  13. Heh. Fairy 'nuff. All the ones I've seen have been drafts - actually,
now I thin about it, some have been corporate checks so yeah, you'd be
    right.

Never seen a scammer forge a private personal cheque, though.

Yes, you are missing something substantial. It may well clear, assuming
there are funds in the account to cover it. Then in x days/weeks when
either further checks are done, or the rightful owner of the account
notices their money's gone, the issuing bank will reclaim it.
