Does this look genuine?

I'm looking for a hack for offspring to pass his test on.

I'm nervous about the lack of RHS pics, the odd alignment between front
wheel and mudguard (might be the pic), the missing plastics (and new
pipe) and misaligned rear RHS indicator, also the zero feedback of the
seller and the luggage label on the key. OTOH, it's a good price.

    Should I just walk away?

If you can't go and look at it ahead of the auction ending, then you've
    just answered your own question.

There will *always* be another one along shortly.

Hmmm, yes. The front end does look odd. There is no ball end on the front
brake lever. The headlight unit is recessed in the nacelle, the bars look
slightly twisted, but then it is a learner 125, so it will have been
    dropped.

The luggage tag implies stock control, ie breakers or dealers, and the photo
from the rear?, the whole bike looks out of line. Could just be the photo,
    but warrants closer inspection.

Big ding and not declared to the insurance company?, hell, that header
    hasn't even blued in yet.
I wouldn't make the effort to go in the first place if it was more than 10
mins away. It looks like a polished turd. Something about it makes me
    suspicious.

I missed that - well spotted. It all points to it having been dropped
nastily, offside to ground, at some point.
Quite - simply falling off is one thing, but a major prang ought to be
part of the eBay description. It looks to me as though the current owner
    knows all about it.
Yes on both counts. My first thought when I saw the label was 'dealer'.
Yup, that's the way I was thinking too.

Nige reminded that there are plenty out there. It's about 1.5 hours each
way, in the middle of Wiltshire, so I'll pass, I think.

    Cheers,

    S.

  7. Just another odd Yamaha spoke pattern.

  8. It's definitely a dealer or riding school selling it, despite the zero
    FB. Leave it alone.

It's not the pattern, it's the fact that in the third photo, the
wheel's much closer to the left forkleg than the right, & you can see a
fair chunk of hub & a couple of spokes sticking out the right side of
the wheel, but not the left. Looks like the rim's been laced up way off
    centre.
