Does aus.moto count as a group or organisation? Do we need a tank?

Boxer says he used to drive a Centurion, will that be enough
    reason? ;-)

Incidentally Boxer, what's the Australian Army record for the standing-
start 400m drag in a Centurion? Don't try to tell me that you never
    tried it! ;-)

Maybe the MCC should buy it to promote road safety. "You never know
when the biker you ignore has an escort you can't ignore."

That was too many years ago, we used to race across the Pucka Range a lot
but as for timing a standing 400, I really dont recall. We used to store a
few cans of beer up the barrell in the winter, kept them really cold
    (sometimes froze them).

Just got my notification to front for a parade at my local federal members
office to be presented the Australian Service Medal.

(a free Tank would be good but where would you hide it from the misses?)

Maybe you could claim it was a Holden Suburban?

Could probably rent it to the Chaser mob, when the pope comes for the
    hitler youth fest.

    I reckon I stand a good chance.
Since the drought they've been really pushing Brisneylanders to get a tank!

I could even the State Govt $1000 rebate!

The Leopards were a great improvement on the Centurians and easy to service
if you had the workshop for it, generally though as an oil change requires
you pull the power pack from the vehicle (they usually just swap it over one
for one) it would be a bastard to hoist a V10 Mercedes Deisel and
    transmission from your garage rafters.

Heh! Nice little historical reference there... ;-)

I vaguely recall when they sold off the Centurions that some farmer
bought the lot, then sold them off one-by-one at a tidy profit. I can
*definitely* remember seeing the ad for them in "The Land"
    newspaper! ;-)

  13. Oh dear, do we now go back to an ausmoto discussion from 10 years ago
about how fast a tank can decelerate?

Hand up who can remember that one, and 10 brownies points for anyone
who can find a link to the original discussion. I can't be fucked
    looking :)

    Cheers

  15. Yeah - I think I have all the original files here somewhere. About to
head to work, but will have a squiz tonight. What sort of resolution
you want it in? I still have the original vector file that I made it
in, so can export at pretty much any resolution.
