  1. Did anyone see the "pearl necklace" advertisement shown over the
Christmas period? Well done to whoever got that past the bureaucrats.

Mr Kipling directing a nativity play

Full on labour pains with screaming, gas, worried husband and 3 wise
men in the waiting room (am dram type hospital delivery room type set)

Bloke holding star on fishing rod over mary
    Audience in stunned silence
Final line 'look, it's a girl'

Bloody funny ad IMHO. It does bug me that such a small number of
moaners (in comparison of the total number of viewers) can get an ad
    banned.

Interesting to see that the Honda 'It just works' ad will not be shown
in the states. Well, maybe it's not that interesting but I was
    interested.

  14. 570 is, to the ITC, a huge number of complaints

Generally stuff can get banned when less than 10 wankers moan

For a real eye-opener, you wanna check out the ITC's webpage, that lists
    people's complaints and action taken

Viewers will whine about almost anything. I couldn't believe how many
complaints an innocuous piece of shit like Emmerdale's had. But then, it
is aimed at the utterly brain dead ... like all soaps, really...

    Yes, it's pathetic.
Very true. But why do they fucking moan? What's wrong with the off
    button FFS?

    Catman says...
IIRC it only takes one complaint and then "they" look at the ad again and decide if they
think it is offensive - if they do then blam it's gone.

On the other hand, lots of people can complain and if they decide that it's not offensive
then it stays. More the pity as I fucking hate that advert with all the nasty bottoms
(gets loads of complaints but stays).
