    What an *odd* country.
    With even odder menu items.

    Did you try the puffin?

    How about rotten shark?

    Of course.
Last night. Tasted nicer than the Brennevin Schnapps, tbh.

    What did you think?

Personally, I wouldn't climb a cliff for one.
Ah, well, maybe you did it the wrong way round.

The rotten shark first, *then* the Black Death.

    Apparently.

I only tried bit of Linda's "Game Feast" - Minke whale, Reindeer and
    Puffin.

It was like slightly fishy kidney, to my taste.
I had it in the correct order - but I find it hard to choose as to
    which was the most foul.
The best bit about Icelandic food is the way they hide the vegetables
    under the meat.

They sold a better choice when they were called Bejam.

"I lifted up the bit of dead shark and there it was."

Fame? But I suspect there aren't any 'Old Man of Hoy' type ones left
    that haven't been.

    You're joking.

Go and find a sea stack that's got near enough impossible access due
to rough seas, pick the seaward side so it's crumbling away in large
lumps and you'll find nobody has dared climb it yet.

It's out there waiting for anyone stupid enough to go for it. You
might even find someone stupid enough to film it for you and then your
family could sell it as some kind of snuff movie.

It's a great place. Just avoid the 6 month old shark meat.

I avoided most of the really odd stuff but I did find it strange
having a greek salad with a roast.
