Do you get black fingertips from your black leather gloves?

  1. Do you get black fingertips from your black leather gloves?

My year-old black leather gloves now give me a black stain on two of my
fingers. I suspect gasoline got in there from a fillup, probably from my
hands. Now, every time I ride, I end up with a black-tipped finger or two.

Has this happened to you? It has been more than a month of black-tipped
fingers. Is there a good way to solve this problem short of buying new
    gloves?

That's the way it is with gloves with no inner liner.

  3. You should always wear pink leather gloves to avoid this problem.

  5. I've had this problem with my cheap Tourmaster 'Summer' gloves. If my
hands get sweaty I get black stains all over my hands, which will wash
off but not easily. It didn't happen until the gloves were 4-5 years
old. I got another pair of gloves.

This phenomenon only happens sometimes, when I wipe my butt and I;m out of
    TP..
Smells bad too.Usually it wipes off on my pants, or if I get a chance to
shake hands with a few people, at an industry event, or a HOG meeting.

I bought a pair of sneakers in Ensenada, Mexico many years ago on the way to
Southern Baja on a fishing expidition. Size 12 is a bit hard to find in
Mexico, so i settled for a blue pair with a bunch of suede leather on the
    toe, heel, and lace areas.
About 4 days later I wore them into the water launching the boat, and kept
them on all day. My feet stayed blue for a month.

Heh. My friend bought a wide-brimmed black leather hat in Tijuana. It
looked really good on him and he liked it.

Well, until it started smelling like urine and he had a blue band dyed
across his forehead, and an itchy, bumpy rash where the hat touched his
    skin.

Tanning with urine is not uncommon. We dubbed it 'The Mexican Piss Hat'
    and threw it away.
