Same with my ditch surfing moment on the Bandit. Mine you, this was
after the effects of the knock on the head I suffered, and the
    dislocated shoulder and bruising.
Does the bike have to be completely in the ditch to get a DS# I wonder?

Ah. I misinterpreted the top sentence as meaning that using the rear
brake on its own gave more braking than using the front on its own.

Apologies, and I'll go and heap sackcloth and ashes on my head.[/QUOTE]

    Can I assist? ;o)

By and large, I'm quite taken aback. You've taken the wind out of my sails,

There's a lot of it about.
    <coughs> Damn your perfect memory!
Yes, I have this habit of going into bends a bit too enthusiastically.
Mostly I get away with it, as on that occassion - this time I didn't.
It's only afterwards I thought, if I'd have just released everything
and went for the bend I'd have probably made it......................
or flipped the bike and broken my neck.

I very nearly traded up to Blackbird, but then my boss said "where's
the challenge?" so I stuck with my bus.
