I'm not at all surprised. The UAE is the "Singapore" of the ME, when it
    comes to technology.

IMO, the future will have black boxes on all forms of transport,
whether we like it or not. We'll also have automatic speed limiters and
all sorts of saftey devices to "protect" us.

"Hello Sir, this is The Govt. Telemetry Dept. We believe the telemetry
equipment fitted to your bike is faulty and will need to be replaced as we
are only getting intermittent readings from the front wheel."

"Hello? Is that the Telemetry Dept? Oh, jolly good. Can I ask you to send me
my telemetry data for, ooh, say from noon 'til 6pm, April 3rd please? ....
(pause, tappity-tap) ... Yes, that's right, I *was* near Snetterton at the
    time...."

Fucking students!! Why can't they just stay in their tie-dye curtained, Che
Guevara postered bedsits, smoking dope and discussing global warming over
steaming mugs of cocoa like they're supposed to, eh?

Did you read the one where they made the weird 3d
jar of Nescafe to combat the supermarket value range
by implementing an obvious copyright gambit.

Its not as if the FTCs got their Groundwork right starting from the for them
    oh so convenient premise that:

"Every year thousands of people are killed on UK roads. SPEED is a major
contributory factor in a large percentage of road traffic accidents"

Well duh .... So a vehicle moves - Then yes it has 'speed' in a sense. And?

As it would utterly cut the ground from under their interests to actually
*look* at the revised assessments [1] that showed its an artefact of the way
police gather accidents statistics which generated a spurious impression
excess speed was causal I don't suppose that figures all that highly in this
team's evaluation of the utility of their nanny state piece of intrusive
    crap does it?

And you know what? I'll tell you what. What? Most of the cnutting
politicians will be in orgasmic paroxysms of delight that they can now saves
us from ourselves because we aren't to be trusted.

And you know what else? I'll tell you what else too. They won't fucking
understand it their fucking fault when high percentage of fucking people
fall fucking asleep when they're supposed to be controlling fucking vehicles
of whatever fucking sort because they're not being fucking adequately
    fucking stimulated.

Other than that its an interesting concept.

    Cnuts : (

[1] No I don't remember where they are but I do remember seeing them - You
    want 'em search.

Well, Japan has automatic speed limiters already and has had them for
years. Of course the speed shops over there also sell you all you need
    to derestrict them.

Which reminds me that if I decide to keep the Skyline in the face of
doom and gloom, sorry, a house purchase then I better order a
derestricted speedo for it from Japan...
