Neato, thats pretty good actually. My mate (who I did the Endurance with) has been riding for years and the best he has ever done a quick early morning run is around 25 minutes, and that was with the mountain one way! I did it at 1pm on a Sunday, quite a few cars about, but did not go silly speeds through the 30 and 40 zones, pretty much flew through everything else though. -- Gavsta. GSXR600K1 Z750 Race Bike. Give over: I did it in 47 minutes, twenty years ago. -- | ___ Salad Dodger |/ \ _/_____\_ GL1500SEV/CBR1100XXX/KH500A8/TS250C |_\_____/_| ..66602../..15926.../..3157./.19406 (>|_|_|<) TPPFATUICG#7 DIAABTCOD#9 YTC#4 PM#5 |__|_|__| BOTAFOT #70 BOTAFOF #09 two#11 WG* \ |^| / IbW#0 & KotIbW# BotTOS#6 GP#4 \|^|/ ANORAK#17 '^' RBR-Visited:38 Pts: 765 Miles:2743
Nah. I got round it quicker than that on open road, in the (pouring) wet, on someone else's Bandit12 with a fucked rear shock, and some serious fog on the west side. It rocked so much, I went for another lap.
Tube to Baker St or Camden Town, bus 274 from either and it stops at the Zoo entrance. Next question? ;-)
Porl got a conversation; lucky him. Can't think why he called me a cock. Would have phoned TOG but Platty found another beer tent.
I really, *really* wanted to take the Falco round. Unfortunately, I'd flown over there, as it was mucho cheaper than riding, and it doesn't look like I'll ever get the chance now.
Well, I *could* buy another Falco, but I think it's about time I tried something different. And whatever bike I get, I'm sure I'll manage to take it to the IoM at some point.
Hm. Salty. What's all that about then ? How much salt is too much ? I have an Electrolux & I just keep shoving salt in. Does it sort out the concentration for you ? Maybe I should dig out the instructions again P.
It uses a wotsit reaction to counteract the minerals in the water, or something. There should be a little dial thing, usually under the salt filler cap, that adjusts how much salt is used - turn it up for hard water, down for soft water. Pah - instructions are for girls. Self-belief and a willingness to experiment, that's what you need.
Eddie wrote Hmm, How does the litle dial know you're a numpty with salt and may have filled the little chamber chock full of the stuff making it ver ver salty indeed in there ? Well, I shoved the little container that came with the machine in and thought 'hmm, that doesn't look like very much' so I bought a big bag of the stuff and then thought, ah, if I shove all that in, then it'll be incredibly full, and there's only a bit of water in there to make things a bit squishy. Dunno, maybe i'll lob the rest in tonight and see if I can close the cap Cheers, Paul.
That's how you're meant to fill it. There's all sorts of clever pixies inside that take the appropriate amount of salt water, depending on salty it is. It should have come with a funnel, yes? Pour the salt in through the funnel, until the water's saturated with salt (i.e. it can't dissolve any more) and it starts to rise up to the bottom of the funnel. You should do this just before you use it, 'cos you don't really want spilled bits of salt sitting in contact with metal components for any longer than necessary.
