they just seem to have stopped selling a lot of the things that I used
to be able to get there and nowhere else.

heh. Was thinking about stuff like Duchy Original bacon, which is
sublime. Fortunately, the Sainsburys @ Winchmore Hill seems to stock
    this now.

Hmm. We get stuff like that round where I live but it tends to come from
    places called farms.

I didn't mean to imply Waitrose had dropped the range completely, as
the one in WGC still seems to have the full stock, but the Enfield
Town one seems to have a very cut back range.

They've also stopped doing the aubergine masala that I really liked.

But Sainos[1] to the rescue on both scores.

[1] I caught this from you.

there's a "Farmer's Market" near me on a Sunday in Barnet, but after
the recent Eddie Grundy storyline in The Archers, I'm reticent about
    buying *meat* from it.

I buy the Highland Shortbread biscuits at three quid a packet and
bring them to work. They go like...erm... hot cakes, due to their
    essential Englishness.

  20. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Verdigris"
Hope he's not been near the bakery, then.
