I always felt the series III would look good in gloss black, with *all*
the essential accessories also in gloss black.

Fuggdat, don't like LDs at all, dunno why I always thought of them as some
form of cheap concept before mister innocenti put the series ones etc into
production :) Id love a model D though for put putting about

Oh no! The LD had a certain charm all of its own, and was a surprisingly
good, reliable scoot. Shaft driven too, I`ll have you know.

Still, my fave Lammy has to be a TV175 Series III or the SX200. I helped a
friend restore his TV175, with a 2-tone maroon/cream paint job. Lovely, it
    was.

Thinking back, I had a J125 basket-case for a while. Never got around to
    doing it up however..

Well Ill give you that but only 3 speed.
When it comes to series threes theyre all the same to me other than engine
size but then thats easily changable these days.
I was over at an open day at Cambridge Lambretta Workshops last weekend
where they were doing dynos of some of the kits available for a bit of a
    write up.
As well as that people that had turned up on their scoots were invited to
    have theirs dynoed.
So, one guy that has an immaculate and literally standard SX200 ("worth" 5
to 7 thousand) tentatively put his on, got a respectable 9.5 (.5) over Mr
    innocentis figures.
Not *still* at the back of the shed is it?

UKRM flames regardless of race creed or disability.

    We should be proud.

Thats the thing that pisses me off about scoot now. When I was playing with
them, only 15 years ago, they were all, (with the possible execption of the
Vespa SS90 or a custom art jobby) as cheap as chips. I don`t think I, or my
friends, paid any more than £200 or so for any model of scoot, with the
exception of tuned or, in another case, a rather nice custom jobbie my mate
got hold of. (One Track Mind, featured in a couple of mags. SX200 with some
seriously nice artwork, engraving and tuned motor).
And now, they *all* go for what is IMHO silly amounts of money.

Sickening, in a way. And not just because I`ve got this weird feeling that
my life is not complete without a 150 Super or a Rally 200 in the stable..
    There, I`ve said it.)

I wish... I can`t even remember what happened to it.

Agreed, it seems to be a market thing i suppose but **** me people paying up
to 7K for a scooter is sheer madness
Many of the lads in the club regale me continually with the days where when
a lambretta broke down, you basically dumped it in the ditch and bought
    another for about £20

This newsgroup is 50% help [1] and 50% a test bed for new ways to annoy and
abuse. You've had some help now comes the abuse. I wondered when the sudden
outbreak of courtesy and politeness would come to a screeching halt.
