Most diesels have them ... for improving the responsiveness, not so much for interesting performance. I wonder how well it actually goes...
I'd bet the performance would drop off very sharply if the turbo stopped working though. Very well I'd bet.
It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the Doesn't look like it has a gearbox, though. Just a clutch and a neutral, I suspect. -- Dave GS 850 x2 / SE 6a SbS#6 DIAABTCOD#16 APOSTLE#6 FUB#3 FUB KotL OSOS#12? UKRMMA#19 COSOC#10
Nasty yellow colour. Most diesel bikes seem to manage about 3.5bhp - I hope this does a little better.
It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "platypus" Offhand I don't recall what small car diesel lumps are 1200cc; but I'd not be surprised if that's a Daihatsu, or some Korean thing that's putting out around 60bhp with the turbo on. Of course, if it's a common rail, it might be chucking out more, say around 70. Not tyre-blistering, but enough to get around on. -- Dave GS 850 x2 / SE 6a SbS#6 DIAABTCOD#16 APOSTLE#6 FUB#3 FUB KotL OSOS#12? UKRMMA#19 COSOC#10
I've seen something about this, somewhere else.. IIRC, its powered by the Lupo diesel motor - the ickle one 1.0 or 1.2...triple. -- Cheers! Fr Jack 96 Tiger. FRJACKUKRM AT GMAIL DOT COM
