I just don't see what there is to worry about and if they want to
cover their faces up because their religion demands it then get on
    with it.

A few silly bitches wanting to hide their ugly mugs behind a bit of
rag is **** all compared to some of the shit breaking out around the
World and it's not costing me any money so I really dgaf.

Same in Bedford and Luton. Until the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan
after the Twin Towers in NY got destroyed, you never saw a full face
veil or Hijab style dress in these two towns, now they are everywhere.

    everywhere.

The hijab was quite prevalent when I lived in Leicester. The niqab,
otoh, seems a much more recent fad.

In 2005 a bunch of us, including Blondie, went to a Daytona boot dealer in
Leicester from an 'OSM. It was the first time I'd seen more than the very
occasional Niqab (in Brum) and something like 1/4 of the women in the town
    centre were wearing it.

A Hijab is just a cheap Hermes copy shirly.

    The text from the BBC.

The French cabinet has approved a bill making it illegal to wear
in public clothes designed to hide the face.

The full face crash helmet is specifically designed to hide the
face. Admitedly for protection in the event of an accident but how
did the wording of the law go in French?

It wouldn't be the first time a government has accidentally goofed
a bit on the passing of -wind- laws.

Dunno, I've not been paying much attention. On the beeb website, it states
that there are 1900 woman (out of 5M muslims, so probably out of 2,5M) wearing
full face veils. I saw two of them today on my way to the post office.
Heh, quite. I'll have to find the text, to see if it means that I can ride
    without a lid. :)

    Also from the text

"The interior ministry says only 1,900 women wear full-face veils in
France, out of a Muslim population of more than five million"

So why the **** did they bother legislating ?

I suspect that there's an element of anti-terrorism involved, if only in the
thinking. Having said that, some blokes have been stumbling around in full
on burka's and "dresses" and pulling off armed robberies in front of CCTV
    cams.

Don't kid yourself Des. All the CCTV reasons are bollocks anyway.
