DFV T-shirts part 2

    Proposed T-shirt as follows:

Front: NSL symbol approx 6" daimeter on the chest
GLF block capitals approx 2" high below

    Back:
UKRM 3-4" blcok capitals across shoulder blades

Black Fruit of the Loom shirts: Heaviest weights
    Size to fit

Cost to me is £20+VAT each. Cost to you lot would be the same, I have no
interest in making profit here (Although a quid to hlep postage and packing
might be nice). If anyone wants to make a donation to some kind of charity
on the back of it (ISTR that's what happened with the 'Give it beans' ones)
    then so much the better.

While this sounds quite expensive to me, I'd probably pay it. The low
numbers that have requested so far may have a bearing on it as well.

    Insert thoughts here.

It's not called DFV for nothing...

Get a price for postage and charge it. You'll be surprised how
much brown paper, brown tape and stamps cost along with how
long it takes to wrap and send 100-odd t-shirts.

Don't offer anything. Tell them what to do and how to do it,
ie "send me a piece of paper with your address and the size
you want, along with a cheque for XX to ..." as a lot of people
will "order" via email and it will be a nightmare.

The heaviest weight cotton is not always the best. The print
will long disappear before the cotton does, so turn it down
a notch and lower the price.

There's nothing wrong with making a bit of money to cover
your time and effort, but say so up front. A better way is
to work out all the money, then add a quid for a donation
to a charity, like Riders For Health http://www.riders.org/
and pay it at the end.

Build in contingency for when you **** up the postage cost
or miss something crutial like cost of postage to you of
a box of shirts. If you have anything left over, it's extra
    donations to the charity pot.

Time it with a big meeting, like the EoSM, to save postage
costs and hand them out there instead.

    Good luck!

Fair point. In the interests of my own convenience, I'm not going to (and
indeed do not have time to) hack around looking for the best deal. I've
had these people recommended to me, both for quality and service. I now
    trust them. EOF pretty much.

If th numbers get up that high, from showing so far, I'll be suprised. I'm
looking at about 30-40 so far. Fiar point though.
    noted, ta
Possibly. Personally I like my t's to be as heacy as possible os thye hold
their shape. The last batch were ver good in that respect IMO, and the
    printing lasted pretty damn well.
Aye. Thing is I don't have time to make money on it, IYSWIM. I'll do it,
my way and that's it. Can't be chasing around.
    Good point
    As above, ta
I want em before EOS ;)

and they go an interestingly appropriate rusty colour if you
accidentally lean over the sink and touch the bleach you have just
    sprayed everywhere.

That'll be the result of a broked sig I expect.

How much? Effing Ada, the quote I got last year to have some done
wouldn't even have touched a tenner including the postage!

Mind you, if people are prepared to pay >£20 for a printed t-shirt I'm
a bit miffed I didn't finish the DFV bit *and* charge a bit extra.

I'd politely suggest that you get a couple of people to check your
design for typos before submitting them for printing, mind.

Waaaaaay too expensive. You should be able to source them for under a
    tenner no problem.

Christ, I don't believe I've ever spent anything like twenty quid on a
    T-shirt.
