  1. No, not the ones Satan smokes but the ones you put on your bike.

It went on quick as you like after removing the standard titanium[1] can
and the whole job took less than half an hour[2].

I haven't started it yet. I'll leave that for the maiden voyage<G>[3].

[1] Which doesn't weigh a lot more than the carbon fibre item I replaced
    it with.
[2] Spent more time faffing about lining it up than any spannering.
[3] I took the liberty of removing the road-legal baffle. To keep it in
    would be sacrilege

  5. In uk.rec.motorcycles, Vass belched forth and ejected the following:
Alas the Devil is also quiet *and* I removed the baffle that gives it
    'E' marked status :-\

Anyway, it sounds ok and there is a little bit of a power increase[1]
but nowhere near as noticeable when we did this[2] to my ratbike

[1] Bikes rock! For the first time since I've had it, I thrashed the
**** out of it <Huuuuuge grin>))) for about 4 tankfuls on Saturday.
Fucking excellent! It took a good 200 miles to get the hang of getting
to 150 in about 600 yards but **** me, could I get used to it.

    What a fucking blast!

    [2] Hopes webserver works now:

This was done on both sides. The difference in power was instant and
very noticable; a lot less subtle than a frivkin' carbon can that cost a
small fortune. On reflection I'd have been better off drilling the
rivets out of the standard can, revoving the baffle and catalitic
converter if it had one and bunging the end back on.

It would've been lighter, too :-\

Indeed, I did the grand scenic tour of Bucks and Oxon yesterday, ending up
    at the Oxford Harley dealership.

One of the sales droids approached me to enquire as to whether he could
assist me in making a new lifestyle choice, I merely told him I was there to
point and laugh, which didn't seem to go down well.

    The FOT route?

A map is needed in this direction.I'd like to ride it a few times before
    we do another FOT.
    No fucking sense of humour.

Shoulda got yer tackle out, gyrated yer hips and said "suck that then,
    yer fat Mother"

Nah, not really. If there had been a few Buells in the showroom I might
have asked for a test ride, bit the place was full of chrome and upside down
    heads.
It's like a church with no god.

Wow, looks great. Must get one for the gixxer. I was particularly
    impressed by the specifications, notably:
    "Performance: You bet. "
    Well, I'm totally convinced.

I can't see where the belt feed goes in. One presumes this is all about
    reducing numbers of Mexican "illegals"

More likely to discourage tail-gaters (memories of using a Bren for
