Apparently we're all £800 better off than when labour came in.

Do you have my £800 as I certainly don't.

I think the original statement was, "Everybody is £800 <mutter> off since
    Labour came in."

It's the Peter Snow effect - I get all over excited, windmill my arms
around and coo over strange graphics.

It's a bit like watching the teletubbies really..

I'm offended to see the words Ginge and Blair in the same post. That's
all I need to say on the matter.

  13. Whoever it is must have my £800 as well - and all the rest of the money
I have lost in extra taxes[1]

    Phil.

[1] Not being on the low-band tax rate, not having kids, daring to have
a 4 bedroom house with only 2 of us living in it etc etc. Every tax
break has been to benefit low income families. And guess where the
extra tax revenue has to come from?

  14. As always middle income earners, IOW the majority. The very rich can
avoid a lot because for them the CBA of avoidance schemes makes it
    worth while.

Are you suggesting that people on low-incomes should pay for
    tax-breaks that benefit you?

Is that the only conclusion you can come to from what Phil said?

No, but it seems most likely given the tone.

    Ben Blaney says...
Or perhaps it seems more likely that you read that tone into it. I
certainly didn't read it that way, and I don't think that frag read
    it that way either.
