You are correct, sir. I'd debate the merit of the Chrysler building with
Woolworth building. My internal jury is out on the final decision but
the Empire State is not a contender.

 

The sprogs stayed overnight whilst I was in foreign parts earlier this
month. Informed me afterwards that they'd had some of my Bombay
sapphire - where some equals ~90% of the litre bottle. There was
enough left for two G&T.

 

I think that for lasting impressions you'll have to go a long way to
beat the WTC.

I'd struggle to think of 5 design/style icons but starters would be:

The Beatles
LSD (think how much has been influenced by acid)
Michael Foot

 

I must admit to a particular nostalgic affection for the Chrysler Building,
but I'd argue that this strengthens rather than weakens my case.
