Desert Riding

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Baileyana Embroidery, Aug 13, 2004.

  1. Going on a desert ride in the Victorian Desert ( south of Mildura) with a
group of mates and a professional guide, has anyone done a bit of this
    riding?
what sort items did you need to take with you?
    What broke?

    regards

haven't done it, but all the stories I've read say racks break.

I do know someone who had a BMW forkleg break...

Beer. Lots of beer. It'll come in handy when the hoosit
    retracts or the frobnagle gestungulates.

If I was you I'd do it with a bunch of mates and a professional
    guide, just in case.

PS: At least one of your mates should actually _bring_ the
tube repair kit, as opposed to leaving it on the kitchen table.
No-one ever brings a working air pump though ... just wait for
a side-car to come along, they've always got one.

Or that wanker in the 4WD that just has everything, including sauce for
    humble pie

first i would explain to the guide that is his job to carry
the slab as he is the only one getting paid for the trip
then i would try and decide if 1 slab would be enough

    my thoughts dan
