    Just heard this from a buddy who went to the ACU SE Centre meeting..

    DEFRA in their infinite wisdom, have decreed that 'no motorsport shall be
    permitted on agricultural land'. Apparently, the right to reply is closed
    TOMORROW. There's nothing like a little consultation to stir things up;
    and that was *nothing* like consultation.

    Where *do* they get these eejits?

    So it looks like we could be witnessing the end of many favourite trials,
    motocross, grasstrack and similar events if these <blankety blank> Public
    Servants get their way. We'll still have MoD land and dedicated circuits
    like Canada Heights, but many club and Star Group Trials are held on private
    agricultural land under the 14/28 Rule.

    My mate is now scribbling furiously to get the reply ready for the morning.

    What a bunch of cunts. Utterly unspeakable, totally fuckwitted, nasty
    little-minded people they are.

    Was the rule something like ten days a year before?

    I don't think its true. Can you find any evidence to support the OPs
    claim?

    That describes some of the people who ride motorcycles on public rights of
    way quite well too.

    I've not heard of anything about the OP's claim [1], but that doesn't
    stop DEFRA, & particularly the Ramblers Association being a bunch of
    narrow-minded hypocritical cunts.

    Their wish to ban vehicles from the <4% of unsurfaced roads they're
    allowed to use will see the end of many events, including the historic
    Long Distance Trials such as the Lands End, Edinburgh etc.

    [1] Although removing the right for farmers/land owners to allow the
    use of their land for 14 days a year has been mentioned.

    <must not bite>
    <ah **** it>

    It also describes some footballers who act illegally, so football
    should be banned too. And plenty of supporters are hooligans, so
    watching football should be banned. And some walkers drop litter, so
    let's ban walking. Plus some people who ride bikes on the road are
    total cunts, so all motorcycling should be banned etc etc.

    heh - I wasn't actually advocating the suggestion, I was just pointing out
    that being quick to name call when one's own 'court' isn't always empty may
    not be the best thing.

    What? That they're not a bunch of cunts?
