Heh.. ok, I've been rumbled. It's actually not that hard to put up on
axle stands and remove the front end. It just takes a little time to
undo all the bolts.. then assembly is the reverse of removal... simple
    init? ;)

No, it is not a solo, the whole orchestra is contributing.

I daresn't. I already live in mortal fear of the postman as it is I
really don't want to add to it any more than necessary.

Oh good gosh no. I have actually learnt my lesson with that one and
wouldn't dream of attempting to much of that sort of thing except on a
bike I was going to keep for years and years and years. Besides I am
quite happy with the way it rides except at very slow speeds and, when
in anything other than a dead straight line, it will go a lot faster
    than I will.
What sir really wants is a garage, unless sir wins the lottery in which
case sir will have French Windows installed in the front of the house
and a heavy duty Stanna stairlift routed straight into the bathroom.

You're talking about the feeling of top heavyness many Bandit owners
talk about in regards the the low speed handling? The straight line
thing could be due to notched steering head bearings or lack of grease /
    over tightness.

Well, I have had my Bandit for 7 years[1], so I'm looking at things from
a different point of view. One that you don't share... fair enough.

Heh.. blimey is all I can say.

Horrible it is. You can't relax, you have to be consciously inputting
all the time which is hard work. The pointy bottomed tyres probably
    don't help much either.

The bike is fine in a perfectly straight line, just dog fucking slow
accelerating and it runs right out of puff just about when it starts
    getting all blurry and interesting.

I don't really have a problem with the low speed handling, although I
think the seat could be a couple of inches lower.
One cheap pikey upgrade is to bung a GSXR750 engine in. An easier option
is to take your key fob off, and attach it to a more powerful bike.
