Decent wet weather clobber.

I have a wonderful bit of kit supplied by Heinz Gerkins, that is superb in
the foulest of weather, a voyager 2 piece suit.
Can't fault the kit, only the fact that the trousers are a utter, utter
    bastard to get on.
Now, a mate has the Harley FXRG trousers, again a great bit of kit, never
lets the wet in, but, he jumps in them in a few seconds as they completely
unzip down the outer legs. You just unzip them, climb in, pull 'em up, and
do the zips up and close the velcro flaps.
Of course, like the HG kit, these come at a premium price.
Does anybody else make a decent set of trousers like them? Possibly cheaper?
    TIA

    Cheers.

If you're not bothered about having armour in them then try looking in
a few climbing shops or on their websites. Most trousers designed for
winter mountaineering have full length zips up the legs to enable the
user to get them on without removing boots and crampons.

Not cheap though, especially if you want Goretex ones.

TBH I'm not too worried 'bout the price.
The Harley ones are fantastic, and over 200 squid, to me, that means that
there are better ones out there for maybe a few shillings cheaper, or at
least, better for the same money.
Armour is not a requirement! I ride a Harley )

Yep, the zips go up to within an inch of the belt. The pants came with a
removable thermal lining, which I removed. I haven't actually used it at
    all - it's in a drawer somewhere.

Don't worry, some youngster will remember where that drawer is.

3 weeks ago I bought just set of side zip trousers from HG in
Birmingham for £40 in the sale. They are breathable and the lining
unzips. Thoroughly waterproof in recent rain and comfortable. They
even do them in my size so most fat bastards are covered

Funny you should come up with these.
I found them today, as I got a new HG catalogue.
I'm going to try a pair on, tomorrow if I get the chance.

    Thanks for the input.

It says, long side zippers. So I'll assume it does. Whether they go right up
each side, we'll have to find out.
    Will do.
