Dealer prep of new motorcycles

Discussion in 'Motorbike Technical Discussion' started by aviatorandwriter, Dec 25, 2005.

  1. Someone told me by federal law dealers have to give each bike a road
test before selling it. Does anyone have any info on this?

I've never heard of such a law, it would seem hard to define, mandate and
monitor given the variety of types of motorbikes and determining exactly
what does and does not constitute a "road test". If you really need to
know, then you should check it out for yourself either by googling or asking
the person who told you for more info.

    Merry Xmas!

Law? Silly, but all dealers will do this as a matter of course.

  4. I believe it is part of the contractual agreement with the manufacturer.
