Dealer Down

  1. The Bike Pavilion in Letchworth is no more.

Which makes getting Kawasaki spares locally slightly more challenging.

It seems to be a bit of a habit at that place. I wonder if any of the
original mob from Colin Collins were involved and if they were whether
they fucked over a few customers like they did last time?
That's why God gave us the internet and a postal service we can be
    proud of.

It's all these buggers doing home servicing.

Same thing happened here when they shut down Pidcocks. But they
apparently now carry kawasaki spares at their honda dealership about
10 miles away - not used them yet, but guess I will be doing.

Ahh, in that case I might just use fowlers for everything. I'm going
to do my own servicing from now on anyway - except shims, someone else
    can do that.

Owned by an old biking mate of mine, Pete Coleman. I've known him 25
years. They're ok and have a bloody good mechanic called Steve.

Well, if they're able to supply a 1400GTR air filter tomorrow, they have
a sale (and a new customer).

Call them first tomorrow morning, save yourself a trip. I dare say they
have got one cos they've sold a few GTRs since they opened

Oh, I shall. I just hope they're not one of those outfits who won't sell
even basic spares on a Sunday because "Sorry mate, spares counter is
    closed...".

I never understand why places have a spares counter any more.

They're a shop. They sell stuff. Why does it matter what the stuff
    is?

It's like going into WH Smith and them saying, sorry the stationery
department is closed today because it's Sunday.

Hmm. Called them this morning (after their opening time). No answer.

Call again later, got an (and I quote) "only a girl", who said she'd
have someone call me back in five minutes.

Three hours later, got a call to say they don't stock GTR air filters.

    So, all in all: FAIL.
