I need a new fork tube for the CB500 (a small dink in one of them seems
to have destroyed the fork seal), and David Silver are out of stock.

So I've spent the last couple of days trying to get through to the local
Honda dealer in Southampton, J2 Honda. After calling about 10 times over
the last three days and never having the phone answered, I check their
website and they seem to have gone out of business. Doh.

That means the nearest source of parts is in Portsmouth or Poole,
neither of which are particularly handy.

Anyone know another good source for Honda parts online? This is the
    thing I want:

Jesus wept, 130 quid + postage.

What's a good definition of beyond economic repair?

Don't ask me that, I always end up spending way more than things are
    worth fixing them up.

You could fill the dink with araldite, or maybe that JB Weld stuff might
    do the trick?

'swot I would do on a SOB. Fill, sand, then fit gaitors to keep it out
of sight of the MoT man.

I am encouraged that you think of it as a SOB. It makes me feel
eccentric rather than just pikey. Next you'll be telling me to break out
    the black hammerite.

  12. I'd imagine the sight of a pair of Alligator Misseisisipensis strapped
to the front would keep him at bay, sure.
