Mine went in exactly on time, and had one minor problem which was solved
    in under 5 minutes.

I find out on Monday if I'm getting a decent bonus.

He bought a house, soon he'll be wearing slippers, drinking port and
complaining of how the youngsters are so scruffy nowadays.

    [snip rest]
Heh, funnily enough, a similar thing happened earlier this year on a
French autoroute somewhere near Nice; me on the (then stock) -12R, he on
    the ZZR12.

He tucked in -- as best Judge can ;-) -- and cracked it wfo. It seemed
impolite not to do the same.
    :)

At one point, we were side by side, me in lane three, him in lane two, I
glanced down and saw an indicated 175 (so more like 170), and for some
reason, at that moment, the blurb from Oxford about their soft luggage
being warranted safe only up to national speed limit flashed into my
    brain.

    *cough*

Good plan. I need one of them as well because my existing tankbag is
    shit.

There is that. But if it's going to happen (an a track is the prime
place) then I'd like to minimise the damage done.

Because it lead to him falling out, big-stylee, with, amongst others,
Cab and more recently myself, for failing to back up his pathetic
attempts to dig himself out of a hole of his own making. When he
started slagging off some of the few people who he could still
possibly count as friends, in very nasty terms, both in public on here
and in private emails to other possible allies, he lost any vestige of
    respect that might have remained.

The fact that he's still here, and still slagging us off, whilst
continuing to maintain the fiction that caused it all, leads many here
to respond in kind. Plus some, like TOG, just take great pleasure in
winding him up, which is their prerogative, I suppose.

Now, if you'd all stop relpying to him I wouldn't see anything and
    would be save the temptation to make further replies like this :-}

    Oh.
    That makes sense...
    Heh.

With the exception of the troll-crew and a handful of fuckwitted numpties
(same thing, often), I've not got anyone else in my k/f.

Au contraire, frere Ace. I believe that he does possess an R1 and
that it is very likely a 2002 model. The word *model* is the operand.

Not sure.. just something I've noticed (since I got back from holiday in
October) that I just don't seem to be winding it on like I did before.

Possibly the better answer is that I'm becoming much more selective on when
I do it, rather then not doing it, as I did a very silly speed on the 4130
    the other day [1]

    I'm sure it's just a phase :)

[1] the bit on the other side of Didcot... exited roundabout, road was clear
and just wound it up... the GSX-R really does make the most
fantastic noise when you accelerate hard from 10k through the gears.

As config & deployment manager, I'm on the "responsibility without
authority" ducking stool - the developers write shit code, which the
production team refuse to deploy, the production team **** up the
deployment of the good stuff, bullets fly back and forth, and I'm in
    the crossfire.

Actually tho, we've hit all our dates, and I think it will be judged a
success. It's just the usual "last few days" part of a project, which
always feels a bit like this.
