heh. I typed that at high speed, while the world (ok, the project)
around slowly fell off it's axis. Stress does odd things.

Oh dear. 'That' project, the big important one? Oh dear.
It doesn't seem to help with the feral apostrophes much, either ;-)

I almost did it to the last one. It may be a goer on this in order to
keep the road plastics perfect for resale.

Very good point. In fact the is a headlight unit on Ebay at the
moment for bugger all, I may buy it for a spare just in case.
It's already got mushrooms fitted, but they look a bit small to me.
Will have to use a plank of wood when I get it to work out if they'll
keep the fairing off the ground.

    Forgot:

The one thing I'm really worried about damaging is the tank and I
can't think of an easy way to protect that.

pristine one being safe at home ...

Aye. The whole sleeper thing was part of my motivation for getting a
    b12. A gixer thou made up to look like a CX500 - now there'd be a
    joy to behold!

    **** that's a bargain, mate!

The -12R was over 900 sovs FC with the same 3yrs NCB and, for comparisons
sake, I tried getting a quote for a Gixxer thou and couldn't get it below
    a grand...

You might want a little day out to P&H in Crawley, then. They've always
got demonstrators of pretty much everything that most other dealerships
wouldn't ever contemplate, i.e. R1, Gixxer thou, 'Blade...

Nice folks, too. £20 for the test ride, refundable if you buy a bike.
Usual humongous excess if you total it but if you just nadger a lever,
    that's all you pay for.

Plus, you're one of the few people I know who could really do it
    justice...

I don't get this whole "Des has an imaginary R1" thing. Why is it such a
    big deal, guys?
