Sometime road use! Yes. 80% of the time on the road . No.
The GSXR1000 isn't a highly stressed engine and if it's blueprinted and
balanced it should be in excellent condition. 160BHP is quite a mild
state of tune and virtually achievable just with the PC, Yoshi and
filter. So I suspect the blueprinting was done for reliability as much
    as it was for power.

It's an excellent specification, the forks are probably worth over a
grand in total you're looking at around two and a half thousand pounds
worth of goodies. Just make sure you've got the standard stuff as well.
A lot of racers flog off the standard kit to help fund the racing.

I'm actually looking at this type of spec myself for next season.

I'm inclined to agree with you on this. I know my GSX very well now and
no matter how super quick the new bikes are I'll still be quicker on
mine. However, if I'm offered a go with no strings attached I probably
will but I can't see them doing that. They think I abuse bikes. No, they
    know I abuse bikes.

    Bypass...

    Is it a K2 or K3? :)

Eh? Top end of my 750 was greater than your 600? Unless you meant me
    walking :)
Neither, K1 on an 02 plate.

Yes, but I think the K series 600 wouldn't lose too much ground until you
    were talking seriously silly speeds.

    The SV obviously doesn't feature [1] :)

Heh. Ben gave me a free lesson on the Tingewick bypass ... I came off
the roundabout on the B12, with Judge on his (then) ZZR1100 just in
front and to my left. I saw Judge crouch and slap the throttle open,
so I did the same (as ye do) and we roared off up the bypass. Three
redlines and a goodly bit of front tyre skimming the tarmac, it was
still close and we were approaching 130 - he was a couple of bike
lengths in front when there was a blur and a scream as that Brummie
**** went hurtling between us at about 150.

Then a car in front pulled into the outside lane ... my, how I laughed
    ;-)

Heh, I'm not victimising Des. Do I give that impression, as it's not
big and it ain't funny (or summat like that).

'sides, I think people will see in a while, if Ben does have a GSXR or
    not.

The word "victimising" leaves me with feeling that the recipient is
somehow undeserving of the attacks, innocent even.

Is there a better word that could be used instead?

Aye, above 140 most likely. Although the roll-on from 50-100 would be
better on the 750 due to it's greater torque. You're right though,
    not much in it.

Are you still considering a 750? The K4 looks like a blinding bike.
