Daylight savings party

Discussion in 'Australian Motorcycles' started by Gordon Lightfoot III, Oct 27, 2007.

  1. I'm just on my way out the door to a daylight savings party, meeting
Springy and Noddy at the Triple Ace bar. We're going to get good and
pissed then at exactly 3am, we will shout, HAPPY DAYLIGHT SAVINGS and
at the exact same time, we will all put our cocks forward.

Hope to see you all there,
    GLIII

Well I would hope you had already put your c(l)ocks forward, otherwise you
would be an hour late, since daylight saving starts at 2 am standard time (3
    am summer time).

Putting the clocks forward an hour wouldn't help in Qld anyway, considering
that you are permanently about 15 YEARS behind the rest of the country.
Try putting the calendars forward instead. :)

So where do the Southerns come for holidays?? Seen how many Victorian
    caravans there are up north?

We have an economy that is the envy of every state in Australia.

You can be 15 years ahead - what have you got to show for it??????

No, but it puts kids in transit to and from school during the hottest
    hours of the day.

I used to think it was stupid, too, until I moved up here.

The kids are going to school between 11AM and 2PM?

"Back when I were a lad" I was "/in transit to and from school/" usually
    around 8:45-9:00AM and at 3:30-4:00PM.

3 hour school days in QLD would explain a lot, actually......
