Nor mine. Please, won't someone think of The Championship!
Harrumph! Still, I've never made an *OSM yet, so missing one more
    won't matter.

Actually they are turning away bookings as they're now full.
Any other suggestions in the area ?

    **** that was quick.

There is a Premier Travelinn (Derby North West) only 9 miles away.
Family rooms have 2 seperate beds
Also a Travel Lodge in the same area
Couple more here www.s-h-systems.co.uk/belper.html - short taxi ride
Plenty in Ashbourne which is probably the handiest
www.s-h-systems.co.uk/ashbourn.html and the Quality Hotel there has
    twins from £35

It was too - as I initially phoned them yesterday morning.
Cheers for that. I don't own a tent and I don't particularly fancy
trying to bungee one onto a gixxer even with a luggage rack.

Ashbourne is a decent little village, it's not far away 5.5 miles and
there are sometime staff heading that way for lifts. No shortage of
places to stay. You need to get back to the Black Horse for Sunday
brekkies though, not to be missed!! People should also consider a Sunday
bimble followed by lunch at the Horse. Mu's Carvery is wonderful. You
still get away 3 ish for the ride home.

  9. Assuming you can beat the temptation to stay another night... ISTR it
was a difficult decision last time I was there ;o)

I may well take a stroll up one weekend (if it ever stops bloody
raining) and have a look round the place. This sunday seems reasonable
infact, if the carvery is good then I shall stuff my face.

The carvery is fabulous. Stuffing face is not just encouraged, it is
compulsory. Then there's the desserts ...

I stay, and have a permanant booking<smug grin> here. I mile from the BH.

Only downside is the home-made chocolate brownies on arrival. They're awful
    ;)

  13. Oh! those deserts, never before have I struggled so much to choose,
    before eating several.

Lumpy bumpy usually wins me over.

  16. If you're going to fail, fail for a good reason. Lumpy Bumpy is just
    that.
