Datatool Veto alarm fobs.

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Shaun O'Connor, Sep 2, 2003.

  1. It looks like my fob is knackered. Has anyone had to buy one recently? How
    much roughly are they?
I don't want to be ripped off but also don't want to have to ring 20 places
so a rough idea would help.

    Thanks

    spare?)

I think it's quite easy to do... well I certainly managed to go through 1.5
    fobs.

One dropped out on the A40 somewhere around the Hanger lane gyratory when I
forgot to zip up my tank bag.

The second, the button was getting more and more flakey... at which point I
    sold the bike.

As I've said before though, the System 3 is *miles* better then the Veto.
    The key rob in particular.

I only got the one. I think the evo comes with 2 and the standard veto with
    one.
I think I knackered it through a combination of wear and tear (4 years, all
    year usage)
and being a bit clumsy and careless with it.

My original one lasted 3 years and just needs a new battery to get it going
again. Next time I'm in Ayr I'll take it in and get a new battery.

    If you still need one, I've got a pristine one still in its box sat here;
    make me an offer.
