    Hi,

I've got a problem with my Evo alarm.

Late in november, my alarm handset battery got discharged, a couple
days later i replaced it, but now doesn't disarm the bike (when the
circle button is pressed in the handset the red light seems ok) and
everytime i try to switch bike on, the alarm goes off.
Ended up leaving it, intending to deal with it now in january.

During the last couple of months the bike battery got discharged. So
    I
took it out of the bike and recharged it using optimiser III. When i
plugged my battery back to the bike today, the alarm went off. This
happens as soon as the bike connectors got in touch with the battery.

The troubleshooting section ondatatool wasn't very clear.
Would this be a simple case of:
.. the handset being out of sync with the alarm
.. or the alarm being 'spiked'

How would i know which is which and how to resolve it? Can you please
    advise.

Best Regards and many thanks in advance
    Ped

If your transmitter is out of alignment with the control unit you should
press both buttons for at least 5 seconds, release and try again. If the
red LED on the transmitter flashes at 1 per second replace the battery
when convenient as it's getting a bit weak. If it flashes at 5 per
second replace immediately with a type GP23A battery as it's about to
    fail completely.

    Helpful.

If the red LED on the transmitter flashes at 1 per second
I think he already knows that bit :)

My 2p would be to contact Datatool (not just read their website) and ask
them - or ring a motorcycle dealer and see if they'll give a of advice.
