I was riding my 4 year old 13,000 miles duc 996 on saturday when the engine stoped running as if the ignition had been switched off , the bike came to halt from 70mph , I pushed it to a safe bit of the road to remove the side faring panel which houses the relays etc , I suspected the side stand relay of not closing but after several movements of the stand and the relay clicking i ruled this out , then the safety relay closes which then supplies the fuelling and ignition relay main contacts , now this relay is switched by the ecu , and i now suspect the veto evo imobiliser , after tapping the alarm unit with it in service mode ,ignition on ,side stand up it came to life..... do's anybody have any knowledge of these alarms ,is this a familiar story , can i get a replacement part for the alarm ?( sadly an insurance requirment) Hope somebody can help. Cheers Ian
