It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the DAS >> test on a bike nominally making over 50bhp. For arguments sake say, I >> dunno, maybe a CB500. And just supposing (I'm not for a moment >> suggesting that this ever happened of course) the bike was actually >> restricted to 33bhp, but the examiner was unaware, conducted the test >> normally (with a few puzzled questions about what was going on), and >> issued a pass certificate.
And if it had, I would.
revoked >> if iffy information comes to light subsequently? Or is it like unto >> the Laws of the Swedes and Nasturtiums[1] in that once proclaimed it >> cannot be gainsaid?
It can be gainsaid - the test would have been invalid as it was taken on a vehicle that was not what it was claimed.
The way he's phrased it, it seems the test was taken on a restricted bike. 33 instead of 50bhp. I don't see a problem with that at all, unless the DAS thingy has a minimum power spec.
The DAS test does indeed have a minimum power spec, which was why I removed the restriction washers from the engine inlets this morning before the test. I was just curious, can't say I know anyone who has tried this.
