On a completely hypothetical and unconnected matter, I would not
recommend turning up unaccompanied to a DAS test. I imagine that it
    would probably invite awkward questions.

Not if he'd seen you riding the thing without L-plates 20 minutes
    earlier, you wouldn't.

I did go and view a CB500s locally today and it was bloody awful to be
    perfectly honest (condition wise).

If my back/leg was behaving a bit better I would have definitely viewed
yours, but I have only just got off my walking stick and can't drive or ride
    very far yet.

Went down the M23 and back on the A22 earlier - someone's nicked a
couple of miles between J7 and J9. And tightened up the access road
    bends. <VBG>

BTW, are you favouring the 'S' at hand over the naked model in the bush
    ATM?

    Damn! Missed that one!

And another hypothetical situation - just suppose someone took a DAS
test on a bike nominally making over 50bhp. For arguments sake say, I
dunno, maybe a CB500. And just supposing (I'm not for a moment
suggesting that this ever happened of course) the bike was actually
restricted to 33bhp, but the examiner was unaware, conducted the test
normally (with a few puzzled questions about what was going on), and
    issued a pass certificate.

My question is this - once issued, can a pass certificate be revoked if
iffy information comes to light subsequently? Or is it like unto the
Laws of the Swedes and Nasturtiums[1] in that once proclaimed it cannot
    be gainsaid?

    Just idly wondering....

Think I am favouring whatever I can get to view at the moment, I went to
Chelmsford and Romford today and my back/leg started playing up, so had to
take it easy for the rest of the day.

Think if I had a naked CB500 I would put a fly screen on it like I have on
    my Bandit... looks ok dunnit?

I think the Bandit looks good with it. A naked CB5 with one would look
a bit less front heavy than an 'S'.

So has the de-restriction made much difference or is it not complete yet?

It's very wierd suddenly having twice the power on a bike that you are
used to. In a good way. _Must_ be careful.

  20. It was somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
The way he's phrased it, it seems the test was taken on a restricted
bike. 33 instead of 50bhp. I don't see a problem with that at all,
unless the DAS thingy has a minimum power spec.
