S.J. man dies in motorcycle crash A 47-year-old San Jose man died of a fractured skull and brain injuries Tuesday night, hours after he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree while performing a trick. Mario Faustino of San Jose was not wearing a helmet, officials said, despite a state law requiring bikers to wear approved head gear. Faustino was apparently demonstrating his motorcycle in his neighborhood near Highway 101 and McKee Street for a potential buyer when he lost control of the bike shortly before 4 p.m. near Melody Lane and Royce Drive and struck a tree, San Jose police spokeswoman Catharine Unger said. Faustino, an auto mechanic, was pronounced dead at San Jose Hospital, at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday.
