Dannys pitch is down Commercial Road in Portsmouth and is cunningly
called "Danny's Coffee", it's got a big cover so the smokers can sit
down and have a tab and a coffee without fear of being labelled unclean
or getting wet. It's a large caravan with a Heath Robinson [TM]
Espresso maker in it. Cakes are also on offer.

I turned up incogwotsit for a taste, and while a good cut above the
average, and jolly cheep, not much to write home about. The following
day I introduced meself to the good man and commented on this. He said,
"Ah, you want a double shot micro foamed you do". Well, he's a nice
chap so I obliged, and yes, it was better. The next DSMF, I asked for
it to be *well* foamed, lo and behold, a decent capuchino! The first
ever on Monkey Island, from a street vendor would you believe. I still
think it would be better with full fat milk, but he claims the Brits
prefer the semi-skimmed and it wouln't work.

So if your darn that way, pop in and say hello, you could do a lot worse.

  2. I have an image of Danny ducking behind the bulky machine and blowing
into the cup through a straw.

Teach a man to fish and he and his pikey mates will have the
river cleaned out in a day.

That's an old TV advert iirc :)

Actually, I can't stand espresso machines in cafes that are hidden
from view, so mine is on the back counter facing forwards. Customers
can see how clean stuff like the steam wand is (normally a bad thing
to see in a Starbucks etc), and, being a lever machine, it's nice to
    watch shots being pulled.
