A bit difficult when they're minors, though.

Much easier. The little cunts aren't as smart at fighting back.

  3. Very much, always amused how in any film or TV-drama the hero always
leaps to his feet after being knocked out and immediately deals with
all the evil doers. I couldn't walk straight for several hours and
felt very second hand for a while.

My brother and I occasionally got duffed up by some variety of the local
scrotes. We would tell our parents who the culprits were. My mother was
the signing officer at the dole office in Newtownards at the time, and my
father was a special investigative officer based at the Bangor office, so
there was considerable opportunities for card-marking.

Retribution was systemic, very long-lasting, and affected whole families...

Good it was. Files got pulled for special attention, and there was always
something worth noticing. So payments got put on hold until it was
resolved, and you know how long it takes for stuff to get cleared up. And,
of course, completely impersonal, so no likelihood of comeback.

"Misconduct hearing" rather than just being fired?

Any bets they'll get a reprimand, suspended for a short time,
then be back on the beat before the guy they beat up is
    out of hospital?

Of course, this is the BBC reporting, they could have
    their facts very wrong.
