Damn, I hope they bring this to the US

  1. Suzuki has announced their european bikes. Of note:

The bandits have been bored out to 650cc but still look to be air/oil
    cooled.

Of more interest: The DRZ-400-SM factory street-legal supermoto:

Damn, if they bring that to the US, I'd be sellin the VFR and buying
    it in a hot second.

  3. I've seen some pictures of a Yamaha XT660 which isn't available in the
states which looks like an emminently good starting point for a
    super-tard.

  4. But those are also on the pricey side. The DR-Z has the advantage of
being not only a capable dirt bike, but also a not horribly expensive
    one.

  5. Nah, tiz OK. The euro Supermotos are really REALLY nice, just start
to get into the more "owchish" price range, a Duke is what, $8k MSRP?

I know I can't do an R1 justice, so why should I get the supermoto
    equivelent?

    Super Motard Buffoonery

    Geez guys, welcome to 2002!

    DRZ400S Motard?
    buy stock DRZ400
buy superMoto wheels from Jeremy at Central Wheel UK, ($1,200 4days
    to my door) http://www.central-wheel.co.uk/cwc/supermoto.html
stock rotors work fine. though I did put a braided steel line,
    scotts damper
    black bodywork

advantage? you keep your dirt wheels, and can swap back and forth for
    riding dirt or street

    then?

I got bored with it, sold it and am building an XR650R

DRZ was a heck of a lot of fun, I learned a lot, and it is competitive in
AFM250P XR, hee heee heeee we don't need no steenking 250P.

crack the throttle and hike roll-on wheelies at 60mph.

    giggle constantly.

and if that doesn't work, learn to speak french like this guy
