Damn, but that was cold

  1. Still nice to have a 50-mile thrash on the bike, though.

    Wotcha.
    80 mile plus this end.
Popped over to some rather jolly bike show at Uttoxeter - nice and
sunny but bloody chilly out there.

Yup it was bloody cold, I went for a ride around the Rutland water area
this morning, and regretted it about 80 miles into the journey despite
having just stopped for two cups of tea.

I'll be riding into work tomorrow due to the car being off road.
Minus 1 tonight, hopefully there won't be too much ice around.

Did 100 miles on the supermongo yesterday trying to scrub the tyres in.

Got back at the end of the run, quickly hopped off the bike, felt the tyres
and - stone cold. That'll be why the grip didn't seem to be improving then
    ....

    Would have been.

I had assembled the spare parts from donors, poured circulatory fluid into
the bowels of the cold, dead carcass, attached the electrodes to either side
and closed the switch that allowed high-voltage electricity to flow.

Did it reanimate the corpse? I should fucking coco.

"There'th thmoke coming from under the tank, Mathter..."

Let's get this straight. Valve drops, shrapnel happens, bits get replaced.
All mechanical shit. So how the **** do the electrics come over all
    veronicamoser?

I really, really thought I would have it out for a pre-MOT five-minute
trundle round the block this afternoon.

Indeed. Did a 100 or so miles today on a new bike with new tyres. Stopped
once to warm my hands on the exhaust. But it was fun.

First run of the year for me on Saturday - rain / blizzards / sunshine
mix. New HG kit kept me toasty but my hands were *frozen*

Any suggestions for a good warm glove?

  13. I managed around the block after putting the legal can back on, then
decided it was far too cold so retired inside.
