The Jackal made it to 136,000km before worn-out rings and scored bores
made starting a painful ordeal and took 35kph off the top speed (down
    to 125 or so).

    Still, that's not bad for a high-revving (8500rpm @ 100kph) 250cc
    machine.

  3. Well, to the Jackals credit...

My first Spada went 190,000km, but I killed the original motor at
~120,000km at turn 9 at the Creek, it got an (alledgedly) 10,000km old
second hand motor from Metros which was running great (if a little
cma-chain-rattly) 70,000km later when the man-in-the-van sent it off the
the great Spada rideday in the sky...

My "new" Spada has ~95,000km on it, but it got a "new" second hand
30,000km old motor in it before I got it (thanks to the previous owner
lending it to a friend who proceeded to wheelie it the entire length of
the old road several times, or so the story goes...)

The Monster has a bit over 130,000km on it now, but it has had some
    attention:

big (and I haven't ridden around Australia, yet...)

That looks suspiciously like a standard issue NSW Department of Education
table under that cardboard box too! :)

  9. Hmmm... they probably don't want to see the half-the-size-of-that-one
battery thats in it now then eh?

big (they'll probably make some obscure reference to a salt shaker...)

Well, it would tie in nicely with the dinner table theme.
