Looks like a cheque for about £1.25 will be in the post from her insurance company soon.[1] "If your vehicle has been damaged and is uneconomical to repair, we will arrange for a settlement cheque for its pre-accident value net of salvage to be sent to you without delay." Do you think they will mind if the net value of the bike is less than the collection and delivery fees combined? Am I missing something here or are they charging 94 quid (plus VAT) to fit a clutch lever, indicator, hero blob and a bar end? Sheeze I'm in the wrong job!
What happened to the leaky tank and rattly engine? -- Dnc B1200 - +30bhp ~|~ ZZR1100 - faster when upright V2300 - flat cap and rug ~|~ A6 2.5TDi V6 Quattro Sport MIB#26 two#54(soiled) UKRMMA#26 BOTAFOT#153 X-FOT#003
You know what, you're right. It was leaking fuel when the tank was on prime (I left it on Prime from the day before,) I moved it to "ON" and it stopped so a hose must be out somewhere. Perhaps this charge is already included in the labour… I will speak to them tomorrow to clarify and also mention the rattly engine.

If I knew that it wouldn't be at the garage. You appear to have missed the point. Petrol *wasn't* leaking until it got reversed into by a car. I think the two events are linked.
