Dad's New Beemer

Pops picked up his new R1100S (it's not a new bike) at the weekend and I
tagged along to have a look at the BMW showroom.

Anyway after a brief burst down to Worcester it was time for me to HAGM.
Blimey how different is the BMW experience? I mean I know it's a twin
and it's not supposed to be revvy but after the Fazer it's like a
totally different beast. I just couldn't see the attraction, sure in a
tourer but in what is supposed to be a sporty kind of bike.

Still the good news is his bike has hard luggage fitted so he can carry
my kit when we go to Scotland in the summer.

 

It'll never happen, he starts sweating when he goes outside the West
Midlands so the prospects for reaching Aberdeen aren't great.

I'm actually considering doing the John O'Groats to Landsend thing, I
mean while we're 'nearly' at the start it seems like an ideal opportunity.
