The old man's currently in Hereford hospital with a seriously mashed up
nose & a body full of bruises. His four-poster ramp toppled over
sideways & landed on him! Luckily there wasn't a car on it at the time.

    Parents - who'd have 'em.

    Ouch.

I trust you'll be round there PDQ to give him a right royal bollocking.

    Wishing him well . . . . .

It sounds hideous, was this a professional ramp in a garage or a
    Clarke's job at home?

  8. Ouch.

Was it anchored down properly? It's nearly impossible for it to do that
    if it was.

Aye, but lucky by the sound of it.
My dad certainly is. Phone calls from mum in recent years have included:

"He's fallen off a table at the Munich beer festival & broken his leg".

    "He's had a stroke".

    "He's had another stroke".

"He's fallen off his bike & been run over by a tractor & trailor"[1].

And now this. I think I'll have to give him a stern look next time I
    see him.

[1] That was the really nasty one. Many, many broken bits of body.

Yes, the bloke who caused the ramp to tip over. At least they think
    that's what happened.
