What a surprise. BT have realised it was a pointless and stupid
exercise buying Dabs. To celebrate they are laying off 20 warehouse
    staff.

Can the froup recommend an online seller with a comparable range, stock
    and delivery service (pre BT).

I' ve used eBuyer for years and years, and always had good service
    from them.

    Scan.co.uk are pretty good too.

Scan, Novatech & Misco have supplied me with stuff without problem

7dayshop is usually cheaper for small items such as flash memory devices &
    consumables

heh. I've spend thousands with eBuyer over the years. Their prices are
usually unbeatable, and though I've rarely needed it, when I have done
so their Customer Services have been brilliant.

Not nearly as much as I've spent via Amazon, mind.

Same here, and I have returned stuff without fuss too.

I also use www.microdirect.co.uk as well.

I've used Scan almost exclusively for computer hardware since Adam was a
lad. Never had ANY problems with them and any minor problems with equipment
have been sorted with no argument and no grief. Can't say the same thing for
PC World when I've taken stuff back there that I've bought in haste.

As a company, we stopped buying from Dabs a year or so ago as they are worse
    than useless.

We now use Misco, and get a much better trade discount and next day delivery
    with no problems.

I personally use Novatech. I had a faulty 1Tb drive 2 weeks ago and
they swapped it out very quickly with no hassles. Their techie even
phoned me to confirm it wasn't anything I'd done!

yeah - me too - a couple of years ago we ordered a 32" LCD Hannspree
TV as an Xmas pressie for #2sprog, which turned out to be DOA - I
emailed them, and they collected it and re-delivered a higher-specced
replacement (for no extra charge) within 72 hours.

    Which was nice.

I use a company called Redstore a lot. Never had a problem and they
were the only source recently that I could find for a 'low noise' PVR
hard drive for my Humax 9200T.
