Before I take the carbs off and have a route around:

Last week whilst attempting to leave work, I found my choke lever
to be totally locked solid. (1) It was working fine that morning.

I investigated the choke lever end of the cable, and after loosening the
handlebar choke unit, the cable was perfectly free to move.

Tugging the cable seemed to prove that it was locked solidly at the carb
unit. Bit of a weird one I think.

Is taking the carbs off a CX Euro a bugger ? Any do's/don'ts ?

    1. I ended up using a bungee cord, hooked on the engine bars to hold the
throttle open to keep the engine warming up.

    Thanks.

Thus spake MikeH unto the assembled multitudes:
Alternatively hold a lentil-and-baked-bean curry party and then get your
guests to fart into as many balloons as you have carbs, then when
sufficiently inflated, fix 'em over the carb stubs and away you go.
