MY SO has asked me to put a question to the collective wit and wisdom
    of UKRM.

He works in a very small engineering/toolmaking workshop in Leigh,
Essex, and due to the decline of work in their main field his boss is
looking to start an alternative business and is currently considering
setting up half the workshop as a bike customising shop.

The question is would you pay to have your bike customised, what kind
of work would you have done, and what would you be prepared to pay for
    it.

    <fx: exhales, and retreats>

Before i answer the question below a pic of your good self is required on
this newsgroup, hopefully with puffy out breasts.

Wit and wisdon?.....you aint been here long have you?

Nope....i dont have a custom bike anyways but i would have thought a great
del of pleasure is had by there owners doing the work themselves and then
its "there" custom bike, the way they want it.

    Just my 2p worth.

I've got them too - 32 inch inside leg topped of with an aerobicly
    toned bum ;o)
The SO has stripped and rebuilt two bikes before - whether that counts
as enough experience though is probably up for debate.

    Thanks for the feeback )

    OoooOOOOoo... quite tall then.

In that case, would you mind joining the "wanking" thread?
It's a start but what exactly do you mean by "customisation"? ... are we
talking Streetfighter or Custom cruiser here?

    Aye - I am a tallbird.
Is any active participation required, only my hands are busy ATM.
I believe we are talking about any number of modifications - from
sticking on of stickers and go faster stripes to butchering complete
machines. It has even been said that trikes can/may be done - if there
is a call for that sort of thing.

I have a feeling that if id does all go tits up I will be looking for
a new house with workshop space as I cant fit a CNC sparker, lathe
    grinder etc in current garden.
