Can owners of the above let me know of any concerns they have with the rack
    on their bike?

    Fitment? strength? design?

What would you change if you wanted to?

    Regards,

Friend's got a 00 R1 with Ventura rack since day 1. Many long trips (1-2
weeks) with and without camping gear.
Never any probs. The Ventura L-brackets WILL tire with use/age and lugs
    brake off at the welds.
    That's about it.

    cheers

Ventura racks are weight-rated to the equivalent of 24 x 375mL for some reason that escapes me.

FWLIW, I've had two cases of (30 x 375) on the Ventura rack
on my zzr250 more than once. The rack handled it better than
    the bike does!

I'm pretty sure a case will be heavier than 6Kg ?

oh I see, I had specs they were rated for 9kgs.

    6kg sounds useless.

    yep thats it,

when I got mine 18 months ago that was on the little bit of paper inside , prob when they started the whole insurance crap and only
    selling racks with bags

I flew to Melbourne to pick up a bike and took the large Ventura bag with a couple of basic tools, couple of t-shirts, socks and
jocks and it weighed about 7 Kg

Not that anything in this forum can ever be considered gospel, but Ventura must have reduced the specs.

    Earlier threads stated 9kg spec.
