Has anyone come across the original recording of the Crazy Frog ring
    tone?
Produced as a vinyl LP in the 60's, it was a sound recording of the
Isle of Man TT and featured a 50cc or 125cc rider (who I seem to
remember was Phil Read)on a 14 or 16 speed Yamaha.
It was interesting to listen to because by the time he exited a corner
and changed up to 14th gear, he had to start changing down again for
the next corner. The result was that he sounded just like the Crazy
    Frog!!

Damn, haven't heard that in years.

Hailwood on the Hondas. You can hear the rear wheel skipping in top gear
Suzuki 50cc twin with 12 gears (Those were the days)
Freddy Grub on his mis-firing Triumph at the Ramsey hairpin.
    and many more.

It looks like it might be available from Duke as part of a TT History.

In the 60's one of our AFM fast guys, Ron Grant, brought one to the AFM club
race for 100 and 50 gp. He waited until everyone was all the way down the
straight and into the 1st corner; he then took off and was first across the
    line into lap 2.

Is that the same Ron Grant who was involved in building special VFR750s?

I don't know -- I left when 4 cylinder Hondas were just starting to show up
    on the road.

I think he was an Englishman. He rode a 250 Yamaha for Mel Denison in
Bakersfield, teamed with art Baumann. They used to have really cracking 250
    races together.
