Sometimes that's a reason *for* having a bike.

I wouldn't be so bad, but my finances really aren't fluid whatsoever,
so this has really, really fucked me off. I don't need this kind of
shit this month <sigh>

 

I know someone who held onto his last bike for longer than he would
have done had it not 'made a point'[1] to his SO.

Did I give the impression I thought Nick could do better because his
partner didn't like bikes? It's the 'scream at me and call me stupid'
bit that led me to the 'gay divorce' comment.

On the subject of being screamed at and called stupid ignorance would
be nice.

That's Fiona's [1] primary argument, especially given my fondness for
POS. However, in light of recent events she's taken a more concerned
line.

I have a Bering, the same one for the last 5 years. Recommended; dry and
warm in atrociuos weather with a removable lining for summer.

It's also stood up to a few offs.

Although I've just noticed it's gained two tears and a ripped seam in its
recent armco interface....

 

My Python 2 was lovely and warm, however, it didn't survive long
enough for the summer, so I can't comment on the removable lining.

Mine is vaguely interested, but not in going on it, but she does ask me
where I've been and things like that.
I think she'd prefer if didn't have it, but I guess that's natural, but she
accepts that it's something I enjoy doing - she even went so far as to say I
shouldn't sell the GSX-R when I was considering having no bike as it
obviously meant so much to me, which was nice.

Whereas as mine does moan when I spend money and doesn't like going to
events (but that's because she met some of UKRM).

 

Got a tenancy agreement? I'd be surprised if that reason held up to any kind
of scrutiny.

Biggest irony would be if they replace you with a druggie or somesuch.

Actually, and this may (or may not actually) hurt your ego, she's never
mentioned you.

There are others she didn't enjoy the company of and therefore doesn't feel
like potentially seeing again.
